    How to Get the Most Accurate Quote

    The more detail you provide, the more precise and fast our quote will be.

    01 · Drawing / CAD File

    STEP or DWG preferred. PDF or image accepted for initial quote. Include critical dimensions and GD&T callouts.

    02 · Material Specification

    Specify material grade and hardness (e.g. “Shore A 50 HTV silicone”) or describe the application so we can recommend.

    03 · Quantity & Volume

    Provide both prototype and annual production quantities. This determines tooling strategy and unit price tiers.

    04 · Certifications Needed

    Mention FDA, LFGB, ISO 13485, or USP Class VI upfront. This affects material grade and factory selection.

    05 · Color & Surface Finish

    Pantone code for color. Surface finish (matte / glossy / textured). Any secondary operations (trimming, pad printing).

    06 · Target Lead Time

    Sample deadline and production target date. We’ll confirm feasibility and suggest the most efficient process path.

    How fast will I receive my quote?

    We respond to all RFQs within 24 business hours. Complex multi-part projects or those requiring sample evaluation may take up to 48 hours.
    Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

    We support prototypes from 1 piece. Typical production MOQ is 500–1,000 pcs for compression molding. LSR injection has higher tooling cost but competitive unit pricing at volume.
    Is DFM feedback included in the quote?

    Yes — every quote includes a preliminary Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) review: wall thickness, draft angle, undercuts, parting line, and tolerance feasibility. This is included at no extra cost.
    What file formats do you accept?

    STEP (.step / .stp) is preferred. We also accept DWG, DXF, PDF, JPG, and PNG. Max 20 MB per file. For larger assemblies, email us at info@thorsofts.com.
    Can you sign an NDA before I share drawings?

    Absolutely. We sign NDAs before receiving any proprietary files. Email us to request our standard NDA template, or send us yours directly.
